Fabrication of morphine detector based on quartz@Au-layer biosensor

•The biosensor oscillator was made from a 20 MHz piezoelectric modified with gold nanoparticles.•The results showed that the device has a sensitivity of 0.25.ngml-1.•The detection of this platform is very fast (8 min) with a small sample size (1 μl).•The response of this biosensor was based the effect of morphine on the anti-morphine monoclonal antibody.
