Abstract

•Autogenous grinding was successfully applied to six Canadian REEs ore samples.•High Th, U, and REEs solubilisation yields were obtained in nitric acid media.•Best Th separation results were achieved with the resin Lewatit VPOC 1026.•Lewatit VPOC 1026 is reported for the first time for Th and REEs separation.
