摘要
•In view of the problems of waste energy in reprocessing of cutting machining scrap and the high cost of laser cladding materials. It is an increasingly urgent problem for researchers to use the machining scrap and to turn waste into treasure, which not only saves resources but also protects the environment.•In this paper, the cutting machining scrap is processed into laser cladding powder material by a special method, so that the manufacturing cost of the cladding powders will be greatly reduced, and the performance of the laser cladding coating is much higher than that of the 30CrMnsi substrate material. This approach is the highlight of this paper, It conform to the principle of increasing production and saving expenditure, and meanwhile it has important and far-reaching significance for the completion of the established economic policy.
