Abstract
•The Giant Sb metallogenic belt in South China (GSMB) provides > 50% Sb production and reserves of the world.•Sb deposits in the GSMB are typically sedimentary-hosted and structurally controlled.•Sb deposits were mainly generated by low-temperature and low-salinity fluids.•Sb mineralization in the GSMB mainly occurred during 160–120 Ma.•Subduction of paleo-Pacific plate triggered Sb mineralization.
