Domain decomposition in the GPU-accelerated Shift Monte Carlo code

•Developed domain decomposition algorithm for use with event-based Monte Carlo GPU transport solver.•Demonstrated ability to solve problems with large memory requirements that cannot be handled by standard domain replicated algorithms.•Provided optimization of relevant parameters to demonstrate optimum performance.•Demonstrated effective parallel scalability to over 20,000 GPUs on Summit supercomputer.
