Efficacy of topical progesterone versus topical clobetasol propionate in patients with vulvar Lichen sclerosus – A double-blind randomized phase II pilot study

•We performed a double-blind, randomized, controlled trial in previously untreated premenopausal women with vulvar LS.•Topical progesterone 8% is inferior to standard therapy with topical clobetasol propionate 0.05% after 12 weeks treatment.
