Abstract
In order to investigate the hydrocarbon generation mechanism of shale oil of the Funing Formation in the Guanzhen subsag of the Subei basin, experiments such as TOC, rock pyrolysis, reflectance determination of the vitrinite, organic maceral identification, soluble organic matter extraction, and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis were conducted on the E 1 f 4 section shale of well GY1 in Guanzhen subsag. As shown in the results of TOC, pyrolysis, and maceral identification, organic matter abundance of the E 1 f 4 section shale of the Guanzhen subsag GY1 well is high. As found in combination of organic microscopic composition of the samples and composition of biomarker compounds, the E 1 f 4 section shale contains unique hydrocarbon generation parent material; and the shale is of type I and type II 1 organic matter in the low maturity-maturity stage, which is highly capable in oil production.
