摘要
WC-based coatings are used more frequently for the great properties it provides, one of the most used processes to apply this type of coatings is the thermal spray, which provides a surface finish of great quality, nanostructured powders offer good physical properties and that Muscovites. Bimodal coatings of nanostructured and microstructure powder of WC-Co were made by HVOF thermal spray with modification of the flame type on stainless steel plates AISI 304. The coatings are characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy, hardness analysis, volume losses and the coefficient of friction is evaluated. The results show that a type of oxidizing flame has the best properties in terms of wear resistance and reduction of the coefficient of friction.
