Abstract
Background: In recent years, elderly individuals have come to represent a rapidly increasing percentage of the population in advanced countries. The aging population results in an increasing amount of diagnosis of oncologic diseases and surgical procedures in elderly. Being a particular population, patients older than 80 years become a challenge regarding treatment choices.
