摘要
•Bioconversion of biodiesel-derived glycerol to arabitol through the adoption of sustainable bioprocessing.•Newly isolated yeast strain D. prosopidis FMCC Y69 as a highly promising microbial cell factory for arabitol production.•Considerably high content of intracellular endopolysaccharides equal to 40.9% g/g at a glycerol concentration of 85 g/L.•Improved arabitol concentration (56.5 g/L), yield and productivity at a C/N ratio of 158 moles/moles.•Efficient production of arabitol, IPs and intracellular lipids, implementing biotechnology and renewable resources.
