Simulative Analysis of Metropolitan Electric Distribution Network using Conjugate Gradient Neuro-algorithm with Powell/Beale Restarts

Efficient distribution of electric energy is an important phase in the process of delivering electric power from generation stations to consumers. However, several factors like fluctuating load demands, electrical installation failures, and interruptions introduce uncertainties which need to be accommodated in the process especially for metropolitan areas. This paper therefore presents an intelligent means of rapidly evaluating the key elements of a distribution networks using modified Conjugate Gradient Neuro-algorithm with Powell/Beale restarts. The analysis of the performance thereof, especially when validated by comparison with that obtained with Levenberg Marquardt algorithm under same conditions, shows that the proposed technique represents a rapid and accurate means of performing technoeconomic analysis on distribution networks.
