Spatial configuration and static characteristics of hoses in deep-sea ore conveying system

In response to the existing problems of the deep-sea mining ore conveying system, the project team invented a “valve-controlled clear water pump ore conveying system”. According to the environment and work requirements of the mining system, a mechanical model of the mining system and a finite element analysis model are established. The geometric nonlinear static analysis of the ore conveyor hose under the combined action of waves and currents, mining constant speed towing and mining vehicle traction is carried out. The spatial configuration and stress distribution of the ore conveyor hose under different working conditions are obtained. The research results show that the speed and mode of movement of the mining vehicle have a great influence on the horizontal force of the connection between the hose and the mining vehicle and the shape of the hose. If the mining vehicle moves back and forth on the X-direction, the shape of the hose will change greatly, which is very unfavorable for the work of the conveying system. Current and wave have a certain impact on the spatial shape and stress distribution of the hose, but the impact is small. Based on the principle of similarity, a land-based pool experiment system was built and experimental research was carried out. The research shows that the numerical calculation results are close to the experimental results, which proves the accuracy of the calculation method and the mechanical model used in the paper.
