A Novel Receiver Design Based on FrFT for Frequency Diversity Array Radar
2021 IEEE 6th International Conference on Signal and Image Processing (ICSIP)(2021)
Abstract
Frequency diverse array (FDA) radar has been studied by many researchers because of the range-angle dependent beampattern and potential ability of completing multiple tasks simultaneously. However, the full-band coherent receiver architecture has the problems of complicated architecture and high hardware cost. This research aims to develop a reception architecture based on signal separation that uses fractional Fourier transformation technology to separate the echo signal from each receiving element. The proposed method can obtain a good separation effect, especially for overlapping linear frequency modulated baseband emission waveforms of the FDA. The numerical simulation is performed and the results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
