摘要
•A longitudinal field experiment was used to test the efficacy of Proactivity Orientation Program for proactive socialization.•Freshmen of POP group report more feedback seeking, relationship building, general socializing, and positive framing.•Freshmen of POP group report better academic performance, higher levels of social integration, and lower levels of anxiety.•Intervention effects of POP emerge over time rather than immediately.
