Use of real-world evidence for reimbursement in brazilian public sector: an analysis of submissions in neurology and rheumatology

Real world evidence (RWE) provides clinical insights and is also essential in the development of decision-analytic models to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of a technology. This information is often relevant for reimbursement decision-making. We aim to explore the current uses of RWE in the Brazilian public healthcare system for neurology and rheumatology areas, summarize key concerns raised by payers and identify opportunities for better use of RWE for coverage decisions.
