Peripheral Orbit Model. II Application to p̅+p→K-+K+ Reaction
Progress of Theoretical Physics(1975)
Abstract
The peripheral orbit model is applied to the pp →K-K+ reaction for 0.8 ≤plab ≤5 GeV/c and shown to reproduce satisfactorily the rapid variation of the angular distribution with energy. Thus, the annihilation of pp into K-K+ is found to be peripheral. The model reproduces the differential cross-section near Re α= 3 especially well. This suggests a possibility that there is a boson resonance with JP=3- and mass ≈2.1 GeV.
