g-Factor of the 27/2+ Isomeric State in 149Tb

The g -factor of the 27/2 + isomeric state in 149 Tb has been measured with a TIPAD method through the 141 Pr( 12 C, 4nγ) 149 Tb reaction. With the meanlife τ of 3.8±0.3 ns which has been obtained in the present study, the g -factor is determined to be 0.33±0.08. The experimental g -factor is compared with predictions of the shell model for configurations suggested previously.
