Application of 5G mobile communication technology in modern power supply services

Modern power supply service system can provide power users with reliable, convenient, efficient, and intelligent new power supply services, and facilitate the strategic transformation of the power grid. The modern power supply service system will bring a new energy ecology to the power grid, as well as new communication requirements.This paper analyzes the technical characteristics of 5G mobile communication technology, and discusses the application prospects of 5G technology in several typical scenarios of modern power supply services, including AMI, demand response,smart electricity utilization, electric vehicle operation management, distributed energy resources utilization and smart power supply service hall. This paper also discusses the application of 5G virtual power private network in modern power supply services.
