Clinical analysis of intraoperative frozen section diagnosis in parotidectomy

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of intraoperative frozen section diagnosis in parotidectomy.Methods Ninety-eight frozen sections from 210 parotid tumors were retrospectively studied to observe the accordant rate of diagnosis.Results To compare with the results of paraffin section,the accordant rate of frozen pathology was 95.52%.The accordant rate of benign tumors was 97.30%,and 91.67% of malignant tumors.Conclusion Intraoperative frozen section could be a routine examination in parotidectomy.
