Clinical study of laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy

Objective To explore the clinical value of laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Methods Twenty patients with calculous cholecystitis and chronic appendicitis,8 patients with acute appendicitis and calculous cholecystitis,were performed laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy.These patients were compared with other patients performed laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) and laparoscopic appendectomy(LA) respectively at the same time in operation time,hospitalization,post-operation time and hospital cost.Results All operations were performed successfully without complications.The average operation time was (60.4±21.7)min,the average hospitalization was (5.2±1.9)d,the average post-operation time was (4.8±1.7)d,and the average hospital cost was (4865±1892)yuan.Conclusion This kind operation can deal with cholecyst and appendix at the same time,without increasing wounded,hospitalization and cost.
