摘要
Objective To analyze the effect of external fixation combined with limited internal fixation for Pilon fractures. Methods 14 cases of Pilon fractures were treated by external fixation and limited internal fixation. According to Ruedi-Allgower classification, the fractures were classified as type Ⅰ in 3 cases, type Ⅱ in 5, type Ⅲ in 6. The final outcomes of treatment were evaluated based on clinical rating of ankle joint function. Results All cases were followed up for an average time of 4.1 years. All fractures healed in an average time of 10.5 weeks. According to the ankle score of Teeny, the results were excellent in 9 cases, good in 2, fair in 2 and poor in 1. Conclusions External fixation combined with limited internal fixation has some advantages of fewer complications and good function recovery in the treatment of Pilon fracture.
