Analysis of the efficacy and safety of short time HRT on the symptoms of postmenopausal

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of short course HRT on the symptoms of postmenopausal. Metheods: 40 health women with postmenopausal syndrome received HRT 4 months. Compared with 40 health women with postmenopausal syndrome in the same time. To observe Kupperman index;Fsh、E\-2;The thickness of endometrium on B ultrasonogrphy etc. Results: Kupperman index in the 1th、3th 、4th month and after 1th month(P0.01) , Fsh(P0.01) decreased and E\-2 (P0.01)increased markly after HRT; The thickness of endometrium increased(P0.01),but in normal scope. After the 2 months of HRT Kupperman index(P0.05) was recovered to the former level of treatment and Fsh, E\-2 were also recovered after 1 week. Conclusions: Short time HRT is an efficacy and safety procedure in treating the symptoms of postmenopausal .
