Abstract
The chromosomal aberrations of the root-tip cells of Vicia faba were studied . The results showed that when the concentration of cadmium was 10mol/L,the frequency of the chromosomal aberrations of the root-tip cells decreased. If cadmium concentration was above 10 mol/L, the frequency of their chromosomal aberration of the root-tip cells rose. With the increasing of cadmium concentration and poisoned time, the frequency of the chromosomal aberration rose. If cadmium concentration and poisoned time exceeded a certain rang, the frequency of the chromosomal aberration changed from rise to reduction. the frequency of chromosome fragment was the most, the frequency of chromosome ring was the fewest in these chromosomal aberration. It was very clear that the frequency of the chromosomal aberration of the root-tip cells of Vicia faba was affected by cadmium, the effects were not only relative to cadmium concentration, but also were relative to poisoned time.
