Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of developed Lincoff-Kreissig temporary saccule buckle named double-cavity saccule oppressor in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD).Methods Forty-three cases(43 eyes) with RRD were selected for our study, and treated with double-cavity saccule oppressor. The saccule was sent from bulbar conjunctival incision to extro-sclera corresponding the retinal slit pore area with the help of site-specific guide wire, and sterile liquid was injected into, and slit pore was totally up and blocked under indirect funduscope.Postoperative visual acuity, astigmatism, reposition of retina, blocked situation of slit pore and complications were observed. Results The mean surgical time was(28.00±8.62)minutes.The success rate of saccule surgery was 93.0%,best corrected visual acuity was improved in 32 eyes, unchanged or decreased in 11 eyes at 3 months postoperative; There was no significant difference in average column-degree(0.81±0.41)D compared with preoperative(P0.05).There were 3 eyes with saccule displacement or tube departing postoperative. Conclusion The double-cavity saccule oppressor can be applied to treat a single or a few holes caused RRD with or under C1 level. It is simple, reliable, safe and with few trauma, and will have higher value of promotion and useness.
