The ACE gene polymorphism distribution in Shanxi Han population

Objective:A total of 360 healthy Han individual were selected from Shanxi provice,and ACE gene insert and deletion(I/D)was detected using RFLP.Results:I and D allele frequencies were 62.4% and 37.6%,the frequencies of II,ID and DD genotype were 38.1%,46.6%,13.3%.The genotype frequencies were nearly same as Singaporean,Japanese,Taiwan Chinese,Hong Kong Chinese,the significant difference was observed in the English white race and African nationality population.There were significant ethnic group and region difference in ACE gene Polymorphism distribution.
