摘要
Objective To explore the clinical value of post processing images of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT)in staging of laryngeal cancers.Materials and Methods 37 patients of suspected laryngeal carcinoma were performed spiral CT scanning with 0.625mm slice thickness, several image post processing techniques were used to analyze CT staging including axial, sagittal and coronal 1.0mm reformation, computed tomography virtual laryngoscopy(CTVL),volume rendering(VR),ray sum projecting(RSP).The preoperative results of CT staging were compared with the definitive pathologic TNM stages. Results Compared with definite pathologic TNM stage, staging of CT classification was correct in 72.9% of all cases,50% for T1,60% for T2,75% for T3,81.25% for T4,respectively,MPR reformation with 1 mm slice thickness could obviously improve the diagnostic accuracy of micro infiltration of anterior vocal commissure(AVC),paralaryngeal space and laryngeal cartilage. Conclusion 16 slice spiral volume scanning, allowing an almost isotropic imaging data set, facilitates assessment of tumor spread in laryngeal neoplasm, its image processing technique is very useful in preoperative CT staging and has a very important clinical value.
