A study of retimes suicide ideation of rural suicide attempts people and risk factors

Objective To study the retimes suicide ideation of rural suicide attempts people and to analyze the related factors of retimes suicide ideation. Methods Seventy-four cases of suicide attempts persons being found in hospitals of towns in 2 years were self-rated using Self-rating Depression Scales (SDS) and Family Environment Scale (FES-CV), and the general data about the persons and their family were selected at the same time. Results 48 persons (64.86%) among 74 had retimes suicide ideation. The average score of SDS(42.42±7.64) of the suicide attempts people with retimes suicide ideation was significantly higher than that(33.58±9.52) of the suicide attempts people without retimes suicide ideation. There were more problems in the family of the people with retimes suicide ideation than those of the people without retimes suicide ideation, especially in cohesion, conflict, achievement orientation, intellectual-cultural orientation, active-recreational orientation, and organization of family. The main risk factors leading to retimes suicide ideation were cohesion of family, scores of SDS, conflict of family.Conclusion There were more serious problems of retimes suicide ideation in the suicide attempts people in 2 years. Depressive symptoms and environment family were the main risk factors leading to retimes suicide ideation.
