Observations on the Efficacy of Acupoint Application plus Medicine in Treating Constipation

Objective To investigate the efficacy of acupoint application plus medicine in treating constipation.Methods 100 constipation patients were randomly divided into treatment group and medication group,50 in each group.The treatment group was treated by acupoint application plus medicine,and the group medication was treated by medicine only.The total efficacy rates would be compared after a treatment course.Results The total efficacy rate was 92.0% in the treatment group and 64.0% in the medication group.There was a statistical difference in the total efficacy rate between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The total efficacy rate of acupoint application plus medicine is higher than that of mono-medication therapy in treating constipation.
