Application of 6 kV-40 kA Voltage on HV Auxiliary Power System for 1000 MW Units

Through type selection analysis of 2 largest auxiliaries,electric feed water pump and fan,of electric motors,the ways to limit single motor capacity below 8 800 kW are determined;by using resources from old plant or design optimization,total auxiliary power load can be limited under 116 MW.Based on above two conditions,it is feasible to use 4-section 6 kV-40 kA auxiliary power system for 1 000 MW units,providing reference for saving initial costs,energy saving,and reducing energy consumption.
