Abstract
This paper tries to illustrate that unsuitable textbooks are main cause of the ecological imbalance in college English teaching ,through quantitative and qualitative analysis of differences in English level,motivation,attitude,study resource between 2 group students who use same textbooks in Shanghai and Anhui.And this paper also presents some suggestions on how to solve problem.
