Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Qingxin kai-qiao-prescription and saponin on the learning and memory ability in rat models of dementia and it′s mechanism.Methods Animal test used comparison method.40 male SD rats were randomly divided into control,model,Aricept,Qingxin kai-qiao-prescription and saponin groups.AD was induced by β-amyloid(Aβ)25~35 injected into the bilateral amygdala to observe the spatial learning and memory ability,the expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP),Aβ,β-amyloid precursor protein(βAPP) and IL-1β by immunohistochemistry in the hippocampus of the animal.Results Learning and memory ability of rats in Qingxin kai-qiao-prescription group were improved,the expression of GFAP,Aβ,βAPP and IL-1β were decreased,compared with comparison group(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusions Qingxin kai-qiao-prescription may obviously improve the learning and memory ability of rats with AD by decreasing the expressions of GFAP,Aβ,βAPP and IL-1β in the hippocampus.
