Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze western blot band pattern of HIV-1 antibody positives,to understand the bands distribution of HIV-infected persons in Honghe Prefecture.METHODS Statistical analysis was carried out for bands patterns of HIV-1 antibody western blot positive samples of this laboratory in 2008 and 2009.RESULTS In 2 620 samples of HIV-1 antibody positive,40.16%(1 064 /2 620) were total band,and 35.46%(931 /2 620),13.86%(363 /2 620) were subtotal band.The positive detection rate of WB bands:anti-env(envelope protein) was the highest,and gp160 was 100%(2 620 /2 620),and gp120 was 100%(2 620 /2 620),and gp41 was 98.32%(2 576 /2 620);The second was anti-pol(reverse transcriptase protein),and p66 was 98.21%(2 573 /2 620),and p51 was 96.87%(2 538 /2 620),and p31 was 94.96%(2 410 /2 620);Of the anti-gag(core protein),except p24 was 99.65%(2 611 /2 620),the other bands detection rate were low,and p55 was 48.02%(1 258 /2 620),and p39 was 44.77%(1 173 /2 620),and p17 was 77.44%(2 029 /2 620).Compared with different infection routes and different ages,the differences of detection rate of p31,p55,p39,p17 appeared statistically significances.Compared with different genders,the differences of detection rate of p55,p39 appeared statistically significances.CONCLUSION The detection rate of HIV-1 antibody western blot band positive in Honghe Prefecture is different with that reported in other regions,and the reasons are proposed for further research and discussion.
