Abstract
Objective This study aimed to discuss the effect of the-420CG single nucleotide polymorphism of resistin gene on the plasma resistin concentrations in the patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods 344 patients with intracerebral hemorrhage were included in this study.Plasma resistin concentrations were measured and-420CG polymorphism of resistin gene was genotyped using PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism, then made statistical analysis. Results The genotypes of the-420CG polymorphism of resistin gene included CC,CG and GG,the C and G allele frequencies were 71.08% and 28.92%,the genotype CC,CG and GG frequencies were 50.29%,41.57% and 8.14%,as well as the genotype frequencies of the-420CG polymorphism of resistin gene were in the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.Plasma resistin levels of the patients with the genotype CC,CG and GG were(23.83±7.09)ng/mL,(26.54±7.32)ng/mL and(27.18±9.97)ng/mL respectively. The patients with genotype C-C had lower resistin compared with those with genotype CG and GG(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusions The-420CG single nucleotide polymorphism of resistin gene may affect plasma resistin concentrations and seemed to be potentially involved in the inflammatory component of intracerebral hemorrhage.
