Characteristics and Cultural Techniques of a High-yield and Quality Early Indica Variety-Fu 296

Fu 296,a new early indica variety,was developed by Institute of Crop Science and Nuclear Technology Utilization,Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences,and it certificated by Hunan Provincial Crop Variety Release Committee in March,2008.It has the characteristics of high yield,fine rice quality,greater agronomic characters,superior growth ability,higher plant height,stiff and sturdy stems,larger panicles,higher seed setting rate,stronger resistance to lodging and fertility endurance,etc..The characteristics and high-yield cultural techniques of Fu 296 were introduced emphatically.
