Abstract
Peliococcus shanxiensis Wu is a new vermin which serious harms Ligustrum quihouicarr and Ligustrum vicaryi with 2 generations each year in Shannxi province. Population dynamics is closely related to rainfall and temperature. Temperature and humidity are the important factors impacting the overwintering female rivival sooner or later and the first generation occurrence degree. The overwintering female active early in Warm-arid winter-spring, and each year occurrence peak appears from June early to August early. The occurrence peak appears in the July early in winter-spring which had low temperature and more rain and snow. Planting methods influence Peliococcus shanxiensis Wu population density. Ligustrum quihouicarr, Ligustrum vicaryi and small arbor as a hedge has higher population density, and suffer serious harm than small arbor, bush and lawn.
