Abstract
The effects of storage temperature, temperature after planting and phytohormone treatment under the controlled conditions on the development of of Narcissus tazetta var.chinensis were analyzed. The results showed that the high storage temperature was in favor of the growth, which was indicated by the plant height and leaf length. The plant height and soluble sugar content under low temperature(17~20 ℃) during the growing stage were higher than that under the higher environmental temperature(22~25 ℃),which suggested that low temperature during the growing stage was appropriate for the growth. The treatment with low temperature,GA3 or ethylene just before planting all promoted the growth. And ethylene treatment also increased the number of tillers.Ethylene treatment was applied during the early or the middle phase of bulbs storage and it increased the respiration rate of the bulbs, which could be the reason that the senescence of the aboveground was speeded up.The different photoperiods had no significant effect on the development.
