Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of swimming and mineral spring on pilots’physical fitness. Methods: Thirty - six healthy male pilots were divided randomly into three groups: control group, swimming training group and mineral spring resting group. During 2 weeks of experiment, pilots of swimming group received swimming training everyday, while the pilots in the mineral spring group received mineral spring hydrotherapeutics everyday. Physical fitness was measured before and after the experiment. Results: Compared with pre-training, the pull-up,freeweight squat ( 50 kg) ,and sit-up were increased significantly in the swimming group ( P 0. 05) ,and the pull-up and sit-up increased significantly in the mineral spring group ( P 0. 05) . Ladder test had a tendency to decrease and there was no significant difference in three groups. Body mass index had a significant decrease in both swimming group and mineral spring resting group ( P 0. 05) . However, these parameters had no significant changes in the control group. Conclusion: Mineral spring recuperation factor could effectively increase the pilots’physical fitness during recuperation .
