Abstract
Objective:To explore the influential factors on cognitive function of remitted bipolar depression(BPD) Method:8 neuropsychological tests(17 subtests) which evaluate attention,verbal learning and memory,visual memery and executive function were given to 50 remitted BPD patients and 50 normal controls.Relationships between neuropsychological tests and clinical variables were tested with Pearson correlations.Results:The scores from logical memery subtest,Wisconsin card sorting test(WCST),trail making test-A(TMT-A),trail making test-B(TMT-B) were significantly associated with duration of illness,the numbers of hospitalization,previous episodes(P0.05 or P0.01),digit span test-backward was associated negatively with the numbers of hospitalization(P0.05).Conclusion:The longer the duration of illness,the more the hospitalization and previous episodes,the worse neuropsychological tests of remitted BPD.
