摘要
Consciousness is subjective product of the integrative activity of threedimensional central nervous system neural networks (CNSNN) which enables us to be aware of ourselves and our surrounding. It creates the feelings of I am, I do and I feel which enable us perceptivity of our existance, perceptivity of our actions and perceptivity of our feelings. Maintaining of consciousness requires intact neural network homeostasis of specific regions of central nervous system (CNS) which we called consciusness activators (CA). CA comprise brainstem, basal forebrain, diencephalic areas and thalamocortical networks. Arousal of consciousness is stimulated by CA.Conciousness can be directed through the CNS.We decribe consciousness as action potentials which are present inside of CNS during maintenance of homeostasis and absent during the disturbance of homeostasis.Consciousness reinstall active relation between the observer and observed.Consciousness as integrated action potentials has the capacity to travel through threedimensional CNSNN. It has capacity to change characteristics of the observer because it enables him to acquire the informations of the observed content. The capacity of conciousness to be directed to the object of interest is vigilance. It enables the observer to be focused on the content of consciousness during a limited period of time. Different levels of integration of action potentials through threedimensional CNSNN could be responsible for different levels of consciousness.
