Advances in Research on Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury in Liver Transplantation

Liver transplantation is the most effective treatment of end-stage liver disease,while in liver transplantation field,ischemia-reperfusion injury(IRI) and no functionality or dysfunction of the early transplanted liver are closely related.The complications and prevention methods of liver transplantation have been the focus of a lot of research in recent years,and great progresses have been made.However severe liver IRI caused transplanted liver damage can′t be solved all along,affecting the liver transplantation effect.Here is to give an overview of the molecular mechanisms and pathophysiologic features involved in this type of injury and summarize the protective and treatment strategies in clinical practice today.
