Abstract
The Cu-3.5%Ni-0.8%Si alloy was treated by annealing after two-step deforming and aging process with different cold deformations. The effects of deformation on the softening resistance, recrystallization and the recrystallization kinetics of the alloy were investigated. The results shows that the recrystallized grains form along the grain boundaries. The higher deformation can enhance the nucleation rate of recrystallization. The softening temperature of the 40%deformed alloy is approximately 470℃,and the recrystallization temperature is about 550℃.Activation energy of recrystallization is 162 kJ/mol annealed at 400℃.The recrystallization activation energy is decreased from the 162 kJ/mol to 140 kJ/mol with the increase of deformation from 40% to 80%.
