Abstract
A wideband circularly polarized (CP) array antenna based on dual split ring resonator (DSRRs) is proposed. The presented model is developed to design patch antenna and circular polarizer, which are capacitively coupled with a narrow gap. The external polarizer was used to convert linearly polarized wave to circularly polarized waves at distinct frequencies. In addition, the array antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth of 19.80% and AR bandwidth of 16.80%. The proposed concept is theoretically investigated to assess the overall performance of designed array antenna.
