Distribution characteristics of carbon emission by energy consumption in china as judged by spatial clustering analysis

Distribution of carbon emission in 31Chinese provinces has been analyzed by spatial clustering method and grey correlation.This latter method used GDP features,ratio of second industry,urbanization rate,energy utilization rate and intensity of carbon emission and took adjacency relationship into account.Weight of each clustered region was determined by PCA(principal component analysis)method.It was found that provinces with similar carbon emissions had adjacent characteristics in geographical space regions.In northern China,carbon emission was higher than eastern areas,while the middle and the eastern areas had the lowest carbon emission value.Primary driving factors for carbon emission are different for each clustered regions.These data will help to provide reasonable partition management and provide efficient carbon emission reduction.
