Adolescent bariatric surgery

Approximately a quarter of Australian 5- to 17-year-olds are overweight or obese. The majority of obese adolescents become obese adults. These worrying statistics have serious ramifications for the health and productivity of the population and place significant demands on health care workers and organisations, including stomal therapy nurses.
