Study of the Coated Particles Mixing Process for SiCp/Al Composite

Using the tilting disc mixing machine prepared the coated particles for SiCp-Al composite laid the foundation for the preparation of ultra fine particle-reinforcement aluminum matrix composites.The results show that the best combination for tray angle 50°when speed for 55 r/min~60 r/min,pallet Angle 60° when speed for 70 r/min~80 r/min,When aluminum particles median diameter is 100 μm,the best content of silicon carbide is 12%.when aluminum particles median diameter is 200 μm,the best content of silicon carbide is 10%.And mixing effect is better when the median diameter is 200 μm and the silicon carbide can be coted around the aluminum particles.
