The influence of Placenta polypeptide on immune function in elderly patients with severe breathing machine correlation pneumonia

Objective To observe the influence of Placenta polypeptide on immune function in elderly patients with severe breathing machine correlation pneumonia.Methods 30 elderly patients with severe breathing machine correlation pneumonia were randomly and equally divided into two groups,treatment group was treated with placenta polypeptide,control group was given conventional treatment,then peripheral venous blood was collected and the T lymphocyte subsets were tested,sputum culture result and ICU mechanical ventilation,hospitalization days and mortality were monitored before and after treatment in the two groups.Results After treatment,the CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,NK cell percentage were increased more significantly in treatment group than before treatment(P0.05),compared with those of control group,the differences were statistically significant too(P0.05).Compared with those of control group,ICU average length of hospital stay and mechanical ventilation time,mortality rate in treatment group were decreased more significantly(P0.5).Conclusions Placenta peptide could enhance immune function of elderly patients with severe breathing machine correlation pneumonia,improve efficacy of antibacterial agents,reduce inflammation.
