Decoloring Behavior of Methyl Violet from Simulating Dye Wastewater by Cloud Point Extraction

Abstract
With non-ionic surface active agent Triton X-114 as extractant,extracted decoloration process of coloured wastewater was simulated by methyl violet,and influences of factors including pH value,surfactant concentrations,dye concentration,equilibrium temperature,equilibrium time and centrifugal time on cloud point extraction rate were tested by experiment.The results showed that extraction rate of methyl violet was nearly unchanged in pH range of 2—12,when the surfactant concentration was 0.02mol/L,concentration of dye was from 1mg/L to 100mg/L,extraction rate methyl violet was greater than 90%.The method is feasible and effective,and is a good extraction processing method.
