Abstract
Objective To investigate the HIV/AIDS infection status,risk behaviors,associated factors and Syphisis/hepatitis C virus(HCV) infections among floating population in different locations in three cities of Guangdong Province.Methods Stratified cluster sampling was used to recruit floating populations in different locations in three cities in Guangdong Province.All participants were surveyed anonymously face to face using questionnaires on general characteristics of migrants,migration record,knowledge,attitude and behavior of HIV/AIDS.Results A total of 4 815 migrants were surveyed.The awareness rate of HIV.Multi-factors analysis revealed that residence time less than 3 month,male,younger people,having had more than one partner and shorter working time in the current city was associated with risk sexual behaviors.HIV prevalence was 0.17%,and previous and current syphilis prevalence was 1.31% and 0.85%,respectively.HCV prevalence was 0.52%.Conclusions The HIV prevalence among floating population is low in Guangdong Province and risk behaviors are common.More attentions should be taken to the decrease of community discrimination and risk behaviors.Besides,propaganda,education,risk behavior intervention should be strengthened.
