New Breeding Distribution of Relict Gulls in Gouchi Wetland,Dingbian,Shaanxi Province

In late May of 2013,a Relict Gull( Larus relictus) breeding colony was found at Gouchi wetland,Dingbian County of NW Shaanxi. A total of 434 nests were in two sub-colonies with 341 nests and 93 nests respectively,and the nests were built in the central part of a small upland,about 30- 50 cm above the water level,in a saline-alkaline march with potholes here and there. This finding brought a new breeding site of the Relict Gull to China.
