Abstract
Objective To evaluate the curative effect and safety of transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation in the treatment of mixed hemorrhoids postoperative pain. Methods In our hospital from 2012 January to 2012 August, 60 patients with mixed hemorrhoid postoperative pain were randomly and equally divided into two Groups : Observation group received transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation and the control group received oral sustained-release tablets of tramadol. The pain score and adverse reactions were compared before and after the treatments. Results The difference in analgesic effect in the two groups after the treatments was not significant (P0.05), but the difference in incidence rate of adverse reaction was significant (P 0.05). Conclusion Transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation can avoid the adverse reaction of oral analgesia. This method should further be promoted for clinical application.
